California wildfires affecting the Central Coast

Today I walked outside and was sure that a fire must have started up close by . . . the smoke was thick and it smelled like it was just down the street! Our area (San Luis Obispo County) has actually been very fortunate. But on certain day the winds blow the smoke from the north – Big Sur and northward – or the Los Padres Forest to the south and beyond.                                                                                                                                                                                                   I found some photos I had taken a couple of years ago off our deck and paired them with a couple I took today to show you what I’m talking about.
